I can't help but think that if the left focused, like a missile, on fighting the rise in fascism here in the USA, that we'd have little problem having the numbers to do so. But, the groups I see and have known, just can't keep it focused and they lose a lot of people this way. It's frustrating.
Thank you for some good news. And that Boy George interview is so nice, because it's just...sane. Warm and thoughtful and normal, yes from a musician who wears glam-pop makeup, but everything that comes out of his mouth is what a sane, reasonable, loving person would say. It's refreshing to hear this in a public forum from a non-Jew.
Wouldn’t this be wonderful? Now let’s hope Haley Stevens wins in Michigan on Tuesday, and that her win is a clear rebuke of Abdul El Sayed and everything he says and stands for.
Yeah wishful thinking on my part. His incendiary tactics are working for him. And check this out: the Jewish Michigan attorney general doesn’t think it is safe for her to attend the Michigan Democratic Party’s nominating convention due to antisemitism/antizionism: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19Cx3D6v7p/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Thank you so much, Elissa. I was truly touched to see the Upstanders project included in this week's newsletter. Your thoughtful introduction captured exactly what I'm hoping to accomplish with the series, and I'm deeply grateful for your kindness and support. It means so much to me. I'm looking forward to your conversation with Ahmed and am honored that his portrait can be a small part of it.

I don't think she will, though. He's polling ahead by 15 points. :-(

Shabbat Shalom, Elissa. I know I will go into Shabbat very soon feeling uplifted by this post.
