It’s especially unnerving when a Jewish person supports Hamas. I used to be in what I thought was a great (online) group of Humanistic Jews. But after 10/7, their support of ceasefire and criticism of Israel felt like a betrayal. I left the group.
How much do you want to bet that Cornell student's experience on campus would be vastly different if she walked around wearing a large Star of David necklace. Or if she were a Jewish man wearing a yarmulke. But my guess is, she doesn't hang out with "those types" of Jews.
