Great speech Elissa. And I also loved the Taffy Brodesser-Akner piece.

I have already ordered three copies, one for each child who can read at our seder.

Thank you so much for your voice, unwavering in truth and the ability to name the terror and fear we carry as Jews in this current climate. Thank you. I will shake the tree, fight, resist, and advocate right beside you.

It was an amazing speech! Your story about Judith and how she inspired you is a lesson to us all. I'm curious as to why you didn't call, "Let me hear you say no to antisemitism"? I give you the complete benefit of the doubt as to your reasons, but I am curious. I am guessing that there is a fear that if we make our own oppression explicitly visible we risk these rallies centering pro-Hamas voices?

I felt white supremacy covered anti-Semitism, racism, Islamophobia, anti-Asian hatred, xenophobia, anti-immigration, etc.

I know anti-Semitism on the left is NOT rooted in white supremacy but this was a protest against the Trump regime.

Thank you for replying. I regretted asking you and thought that I had deleted the question! You did an amazing job. The crowd could have turned hostile for all we know if you had explicitly called out anti-semitism and white supremacy does cover it on the right. Plus, it was incredibly refreshing not to have Palestine and Gaza centered at these rallies, so who needs to push our luck? It took a LOT of courage to get in front of the crowd and speak AS a Jewish person as it is!
