Objecting to your addressing readers as "Tribe" just seems stupid, though not as misguided as accusing Israel of genocide. To me, all this has revealed a troubling passive anti-Semitism in the Progressive left that could hurt Biden & might even result in the election of Trump. This would be tragic, but keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It sums up so much for me - that my people are perilously close to doing very stupid things. Thank you so much.

The comments about being "too emotional" and too insular "the tribe" seem linked to me. It's a pretty common tactic for misogynist men to call women "too emotional" when we try to express ourselves, as if we shouldn't feel emotional about issues that deeply effect us. It's a tool used to shut down conversation and deflect, and I suspect that is the intent here, perhaps subconsciously. Referencing "the tribe" strikes me similarly, as an attempt to stifle inter-community dialogue by framing it as exclusive in the same way non-Jews criticize Jews for being the chosen people without understanding what that means.
